Challenge
UWW wanted to unite the wresting community through an app where people can watch live and past matches, find up-to-date news and content, learn about their favourite athletes, see the rankings, and discover tournaments. This app needed to add value to their brand and encourage fan engagement in the world of wrestling for fans, wrestlers, federations and organisations alike.
Process
Combining existing brand values with qualitative and quantitative research, we set out to create an app that answered the wrestling communities needs like never before. Alongside the UWW team, we made a selection of key features in accordance to user personas, and developed a new accessible architecture for the complex application. We took UWW’s existing branding and seamlessly transformed it into concepts for a digital format.
Solution
The outcome is an application that answered everything UWW asked for and more. Users can follow their favourite athletes and tournaments in real-time throughout the season, have access to real-time match centre data, receive all the latest wrestling news in a flash, get regular updates on tournaments, and check the athletes rankings and live scores. Noise, UWW and the wrestling community couldn’t be happier with the outcome, which won a Silver Award at The Lovie Awards.
